An act relating to land use.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2717, as introduced, Alvarez. Land use: housing element.

The Planning and Zoning Law requires each city, county, or city and county to prepare and adopt a general plan for its jurisdiction that contains certain mandatory elements, including a housing element.

This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact future legislation relating to housing elements.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact future legislation relating to housing elements.
