An act to amend Section 9103 of the Public Resources Code, relating to resource conservation.

AB 2522, as introduced, Petrie-Norris. Resource conservation: State Resource Conservation Commission.
Existing law establishes the State Resource Conservation Commission within the Department of Conservation, with 9 members appointed by the Governor, subject to confirmation by the Senate, for 4-year terms. Existing law requires that a member take and file an oath of office with the commission within 30 days after being appointed to the commission. Existing law additionally provides that the Division of Resource Conservation succeeds to and is vested with all of the powers, duties, purposes, responsibilities, and jurisdiction in matters pertaining to resource conservation vested by law in the commission.
This bill would make nonsubstantive revisions to the requirement that a member of the commission take and file an oath of office with the commission within 30 days after being appointed to the commission.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 9103 of the Public Resources Code is amended to read:

9103.
 Within 30 days after his appointment being appointed, the appointed member shall take and file his an oath of office as a member of the commission.
