An act relating to domestic violence.

AB 2517, as introduced, Gloria. Domestic violence.
Existing law enacts procedures to prevent acts of domestic violence, abuse, and sexual abuse, and to provide for a separation of the persons involved in the domestic violence for a period sufficient to enable these persons to seek a resolution of the causes of the violence. Existing law also proscribes, and provides remedies for, the financial abuse of elder and dependent adults.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would address the financial abuse of domestic violence survivors.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would address the financial abuse of domestic violence survivors.
