   An act to amend Section 15152 of the Government Code, relating to
state government.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 2517, as introduced, Buchanan. State government: law
enforcement telecommunications system.
   Existing law requires the Department of Justice to maintain a
statewide telecommunications system of communication for the use of
law enforcement agencies.
   This bill would make a technical, nonsusbtantive change in that
law.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 15152 of the Government Code is amended to
read:
   15152.  The Department of Justice shall maintain a statewide
telecommunications system  of communication  for the
use of law enforcement agencies.
