An act to amend Section 56320.1 of the Education Code, relating to special education.

Existing law requires that every individual with exceptional needs who is eligible to receive special education instruction and related services receive that instruction and those services at no cost to his or her parents or, as appropriate, to him or her. Existing law requires that all identification, evaluation, and assessment procedures for individuals with exceptional needs who are younger than 3 years of age be provided pursuant to the California Early Intervention Services Act and other specified law.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the latter provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 56320.1 of the Education Code is amended to read:

56320.1.
 All identification, evaluation, and assessment procedures for individuals with exceptional needs who are younger than three years of age shall be provided pursuant to Chapter 4.4 (commencing with Section 56425) and the California Early Intervention Services Act, Title Act (Title 14 (commencing with Section 95000) of the Government Code. Code).
