Existing law requires an officer who executes a warrant to take the defendant before the nearest or most accessible magistrate of the county in which the offense is triable, as specified.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
The officer who executes the warrant shall take the defendant before the nearest or most accessible magistrate of the county in which the offense is triable, and shall deliver to them the complaint and the warrant, with
their return endorsed thereon, and the magistrate shall then proceed in the same manner as upon a warrant issued by the magistrate.
