   An act to amend Section 5002 of the Public Resources Code,
relating to parks and recreation.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 1605, as introduced, Buchanan. Parks and recreation: state park
system.
   Existing law provides that all parks, public camp grounds,
monument sites, landmark sites, and sites of historical interest
established or acquired by the state, or that are under its control,
constitute the state park system, excluding the State Fair Grounds in
Sacramento and Balboa Park in San Diego.
   This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those
provisions.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 5002 of the Public Resources Code is amended to
read:
   5002.  All parks, public camp grounds, monument sites, landmark
sites, and sites of historical interest established or acquired by
the  State,   state,  or  which
  that  are under its control, constitute the
 State Park System   state park system, 
except the sites and grounds known as the State Fair Grounds in the
City of  Sacramento,   Sacramento  and
Balboa Park in the City of San Diego.
