A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

 

recognizing the 75th anniversary of the arizona power authority.

Whereas, the Arizona power authority was established on March 27, 1944; and

Whereas, the Arizona power authority has faithfully managed this state's Hoover Dam power allocation (Hoover resource) over the last 75 years; and

Whereas, the Arizona power authority is dedicated to fulfilling its value of fiscal responsibility by managing the Hoover resource for customers at the lowest possible rates consistent with sound business principles; and

Whereas, the Arizona power authority has ensured the practical, equable and economical utilization of the Hoover resource for the greatest public service and widest practical use; and

Whereas, the Arizona power authority recently completed its post‑2017 reallocation, more than doubling its customers and providing the benefits of the Hoover resource across this state.

Therefore

Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the Members of the Legislature recognize and congratulate the Arizona power authority for 75 years of exemplary service to the State of Arizona.
