AN ACT
Appropriating monies to the arizona commerce authority.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; Arizona commerce authority; youth entrepreneurship pilot program; exemption; termination
A. The sum of $1,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2016-2017 to the Arizona commerce authority for the establishment of a youth entrepreneurship pilot program that provides persons who are at least sixteen but under twenty-two years of age with the following:
1. A community-based entrepreneurial education.
2. Increased economic knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.
3. Mentoring from local business owners and professionals.
4. Increased opportunities for meaningful participation in community economic activities.
5. Greater career opportunities.
6. An appreciation for the benefits and challenges of owning a successful business enterprise.
B. The program established by the Arizona commerce authority pursuant to this section may be cited as the "Arizona Business Learner's Permit Program".
C. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
D. This section is repealed from and after June 30, 2022.
