AN ACT
amending section 28-908, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to motorized wheelchairs and electric personal assistive mobility devices.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 28-908, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
28-908. Persons in wheelchairs or on electric personal assistive mobility devices; operation on streets
A. A person operating a wheelchair or motorized wheelchair or an electric personal assistive mobility device has all of the rights and duties that are contained in this chapter and chapters 4 and 5 of this title and that are applicable to pedestrians except provisions that by their nature can have no application.
B. When a person operates a motorized wheelchair or an electric personal assistive mobility device on a street in this state, a flexible rod that is at least six feet long and that displays an orange flag shall be attached to the back of the motorized wheelchair or electric personal assistive mobility device.
