AN ACT

 

amending section 12-821, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to actions against public entities or public employees.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 12-821, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE12-821. General limitation; gift clause violation; public entity or public employee

A. Except as required in subsection B of this section, all actions against any public entity or public employee shall be brought within one year after the cause of action accrues and not afterward.

B. An action against a public entity or public employee that alleges a violation of article IX, section 7, constitution of Arizona, shall be brought within thirty days after the cause of action accrues and not afterward. END_STATUTE
