amending section 28-904, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to transportation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 28-904, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE28-904. Driving on sidewalk; operating bicycles, scooters or devices

A. A person shall not drive a vehicle on a sidewalk area except on a permanent or duly authorized temporary driveway.

B. A person shall not operate an electric bicycle, an electric miniature scooter, an electric standup scooter or a device moved by human power on a sidewalk at a speed that exceeds fifteen miles per hour.

B. C. This section does not apply to a motorized wheelchair, electric personal assistive mobility device, personal mobile cargo carrying device, authorized emergency vehicle, security vehicle owned by this state or small service vehicle owned by this state or a political subdivision of this state.
