A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
supporting the f-35 training missions at arizona's military facilities.

Whereas, the State of Arizona supports the current missions of Luke Air Force Base, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing for training United States military and partner nation F-16 pilots in support of our nation's defense; and
Whereas, Luke Air Force Base, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing and the Goldwater Gunnery Range provide cost-effective locations for current missions as well as follow-up missions; and
Whereas, the F-35 Lightning II is critical to the future defense of the United States and its allies, and Luke Air Force Base, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing, with their superb flying weather and outstanding facilities, are the right choices to train United States military and partner nation pilots in this next generation aircraft; and
Whereas, the State of Arizona strongly supports the continued operation of Luke Air Force Base, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing as flight training facilities and pledges to continue to support Luke Air Force Base, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing.
Therefore
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring:
1. That the Members of the Legislature strongly support the F-35 training missions at Luke Air Force Base, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing.
2. That the Secretary of State transmit copies of this Resolution, House Concurrent Resolution 2061 and House Resolution 2006 to the United States Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, the Chief of the National Guard Bureau and the Members of Congress from the State of Arizona.
