AN ACT

 

Appropriating monies to the department of veterans' services.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; department of veterans' services; kitchen

The sum of $300,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the department of veterans' services to award a grant to a nonprofit organization that provides housing, nutrition and other services to military veterans and their families in this state to:

1.  Purchase a factory-built kitchen.

2.  Provide healthy meals of the appropriate portion size to military veterans.

3.  Develop a culinary training and placement program for military veterans.
