AN ACT
Amending title 32, chapter 32, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 32‑3219; relating to health professionals.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 32, chapter 32, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 32-3219, to read:
32-3219. State action prohibitions; health professionals; standards of care; definitions
A. This state may not require a health professional to provide a patient with:
1. Information that is not medically accurate and medically appropriate for the patient.
2. Information that is not evidence‑based.
3. Health care practices that are inconsistent with the recognized standard of care for any health profession.
B. For the purposes of this section:
1. "Evidence‑based" means proven effective through empirical analysis.
2. "Medically accurate" means either:
(a) Verified or supported by the weight of medical research conducted in compliance with accepted scientific methods.
(b) Recommended by or affirmed in the medical practice guidelines of a nationally recognized accrediting organization.
