AN ACT

 

appropriating monies to the Arizona health care cost containment system administration.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; Arizona health care cost containment system administration; suicide rate reduction; annual plan

A.  The sum of $95,000 and 1 FTE position are appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2018-2019 to the Arizona health care cost containment system administration to implement an annual plan to reduce the suicide rate in this state.  The plan shall:

1.  Be community-based.

2.  Promote the coordination of suicide prevention activities throughout this state.

3.  Include specific suicide reduction goals and a method for measuring the progress toward the attainment of the goals.

B.  The position created in subsection A of this section supplements and does not supplant the positions existing in the Arizona health care cost containment system administration on the effective date of this act.
