AN ACT

 

Amending title 36, chapter 1, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-133.01; relating to the department of health services.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 36, chapter 1, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-133.01, to read:

START_STATUTE36-133.01.  Cancer incidence reporting procedures

The department shall develop  procedures to ensure correct counting of cases of cancer or other malignant diseases to eliminate multiple counting that might occur if all health care providers who are engaged in an individual patient's diagnosis are required to report. END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Effective date

This act is effective from and after June 30, 2012.
