AN ACT

 

Amending section 42-18205, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to county treasurer's tax lien deeds.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Section 42-18205, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE42-18205.  County treasurer's deed; fee; form

A.  On receiving a certified copy of a judgment foreclosing the right to redeem and a fee of fifty dollars per parcel prescribed by this section, the county treasurer shall execute and deliver to the party in whose favor the judgment was entered a deed conveying the property described in the judgment.  The county treasurer shall require a fee of fifty dollars per parcel, except that the aggregate fee may not exceed five hundred dollars for any judgment foreclosing the right to redeem ten or more individual parcels.

B.  The deed shall include the following information:

1.  The date, court action number and name of the judgment.

2.  The name of the purchaser.

3.  The property description.

4.  The date of the conveyance.

5.  A formal acknowledgment by the treasurer.END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Retroactive application

Section 42-18205, subsection A, Arizona Revised Statutes, as amended by this act, applies with respect to any judgment that is entered before the effective date of this act and for which a county treasurer's deed has not been applied or issued.
