AN ACT

 

amending Title 15, chapter 1, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-189.06; relating to charter schools.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 1, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-189.06, to read:

START_STATUTE15-189.06.  Charter schools; administrative costs; cap; definition

A.  The administrative costs of a charter school may not exceed fifteen percent of the charter school's total expenses.  For the purposes of this section, a charter school shall identify its profits as an administrative cost.

B.  For the purposes of this section, "profits" means revenues minus expenses. END_STATUTE
