AN ACT

 

amending Title 15, chapter 12, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-1475; relating to community college district finance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 12, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-1475, to read:

START_STATUTE15-1475.  Athletic facilities; nonprofit community groups; prohibition of fees

A community college district may not charge a fee to a nonprofit community group that is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and that uses athletic facilities on a community college campus unless the use of the athletic facilities by the nonprofit community group directly results in a significant additional expense to the community college district.  A community college district may require a nonprofit community group to provide proof of insurance and to fully indemnify and hold harmless the community college district against any liability for loss or damages incurred at the athletic facilities.
