AN ACT
amending title 16, chapter 6, article 1.4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-928.01; relating to the secretary of state.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 16, chapter 6, article 1.4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-928.01, to read:
16-928.01. Electronic filing system; political subdivisions; definition
A. Notwithstanding section 16-928, the secretary of state shall develop an electronic filing system for any statement, designation or report that a political subdivision must file and that is not in connection with a statewide or legislative election. A political subdivision may choose to opt in to the electronic filing system by giving notice to the secretary of state at least thirty days before the next statement, designation or report is due.
B. For the purposes of this section, "political subdivision" means a county, city, town, school district or special taxing district.
