An Act

 

amending title 6, chapter 1, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 6-129.02; relating to records.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 6, chapter 1, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 6-129.02, to read:

START_STATUTE6-129.02. Records destruction; personal information

notwithstanding any other law and except as provided by an applicable law that requires a retention period that exceeds ten years, A Bank or financial institution shall destroy, in a manner prescribed by law, all personal information belonging to a former customer or client not later than ten years after the business relationship ends. END_STATUTE
