Summary

The purpose of this bill is to create the Office of Family and Foster Child Protection Ombudsman. The bill, additionally, authorizes the Ombudsman to hire staff; requires the Ombudsman to investigate and monitor the Department of Health and Human Resources, Division of Child Protective Services; sets forth powers and duties of the Ombudsman; defines terms; sets forth qualification for the position and terms and provides for access to information and sets forth the confidentiality requirements for that information.
