BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subsection (c), Section 334.024, Local | ||
Government Code, is amended to read as follows: | ||
(c) The ballot at the election held under this section must | ||
be printed to permit voting for or against the proposition: | ||
"Authorizing ________ (insert name of municipality or county) to | ||
_______ (insert description of venue project) and to ________ | ||
(insert "impose a new" or "authorize the use of the existing") | ||

for the purpose of financing the venue project." | ||
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | ||
to a ballot for an election ordered on or after the effective date | ||
of this Act. The ballot for an election ordered before the | ||
effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect when the | ||
election was ordered, and the former law is continued in effect for | ||
that purpose. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
