| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 157.0511, Occupations Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) A physician may not supervise or delegate the | ||
| prescribing or ordering of a drug or device under this subchapter to | ||
| a physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse if the | ||
| physician has, in the preceding two years, been subject to | ||
| disciplinary action for a standard of care violation by the board or | ||
| a medical licensing board of any other state. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
