       AN ACT to amend the correction law,  in  relation  to  making  technical
         corrections thereto
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 500 of the correction law, as added by chapter  604
    2  of the laws of 1987, is amended to read as follows:
    3    S  500.  Application  of article. The provisions of this article shall
    4  apply to all local correctional facilities  as  defined  by  subdivision
    5  [fifteen] SIXTEEN of section two of this chapter.
    6    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
