AN ACT to amend chapter 152 of the laws of 2001 amending the military
law relating to military funds of the organized militia, in relation
to extending the effectiveness of such provisions
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. Section 3 of part C of chapter 152 of the law of 2001
2 amending the military law relating to military funds of the organized
3 militia, as amended by section 1 of part B of chapter 56 of the laws of
4 2007, is amended to read as follows:
5 S 3. This act shall take effect on the same date as the reversion of
6 subdivision 5 of section 183 and subdivision 1 of section 221 of the
7 military law as provided by section 76 of chapter 435 of the laws of
8 1997, as amended by section 1 of chapter 19 of the laws of 1999 notwith-
9 standing this act shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect
10 on and after July 31, 2005 and shall remain in full force and effect
11 until July 31, [2009] 2011 when upon such date this act shall expire.
12 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately except that if this act
13 shall become a law on or after July 31, 2009 this act shall take effect
14 immediately and shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect on
15 and after July 31, 2009.
