Summary

An Act To Create In The State Treasury A Special Fund To Be Designated The Jackson State University Stadium Fund; To Provide That Money In The Special Fund May Be Used By Jackson State University Upon Appropriation By The Legislature For Certain Purposes Related To The Establishment, Operation And Maintenance Of A Stadium On Or In Close Proximity To The Jackson State University Main Campus; To Amend Section 27-65-22, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Impose A Tax Of 7% Of The Gross Revenue Derived From Sales Of Admissions To Amusement Business, Activities Or Events Held Or Conducted In Or At Such Stadium That Shall Be In Lieu Of Any Other Taxes; To Amend Section 27-65-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Revenue From The Tax Levied On Activities At Such Stadium Shall Be Deposited, Without Diversion, Into The Jackson State University Stadium Fund; And For Related Purposes.
