A bill to adopt an official poem of the state of Michigan.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 1. "Hand of Michigan", by Millie Miller, which reads as
2 follows, is adopted as the official poem of this state:
3 HAND OF MICHIGAN
4 God knitted a mitten of wood, rock and lime,
5 Made a foundation to last through all time.
6 He planted his palm with Hemlock and Pine,
7 Then blessed it with rain and sunshine.
8 In all the world there's no other land
9 That God himself patterned from his own hand!
10 Michigan.
