SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Rosemary "Toots" Liebert of Waukegan, who
passed away on October 14, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Liebert was born on December 18, 1939 in
Waukegan; her parents were Mary (nee Ogrin) and Delford
VanHoogen; she married Robert H. Liebert, Jr. on June 29, 1957
at Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan; and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Liebert attended Mother of God Grade
School and Waukegan High School; and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Liebert was a devoted homemaker, wife,
mother, grandmother, and a babysitter for family and friends;
she also served on the Spaulding School PTO from 1968 to 1975;
and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Liebert was preceded in death by her
parents; and
WHEREAS, Rosemary Liebert is survived by her husband,
Robert; 4 children, Bobby (Karen) Liebert, Penny Latona, Allen
(Jennifer) Liebert, and Jim (Lori) Liebert; 4 grandchildren,
Stefanie Klaetsch, Haley Latona, and Jacob and Emily Liebert; a

sister, Theresa (Ed) Shebenik; 2 brothers, John (Sue) and Donny
(Kim) VanHoogen; her many nieces and nephews; and her dear
friend, Yvonne Willms; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
family and friends, mourn the passing of Rosemary "Toots"
Liebert; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Rosemary Liebert as an expression of
our sympathy.
