| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Mina I. Riddle of Oak Park, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on June 26, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Mina Riddle was born on September 4, 1939; her | ||||||
6 | parents were Maurice and Sarah Gold; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Mina Riddle was a graduate of Michigan State | ||||||
8 | University; after serving for a brief time in the United States | ||||||
9 | Army, she worked as a social worker for the State of Illinois; | ||||||
10 | and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, In 1978, Mina Riddle moved to Oak Park, where she | ||||||
12 | worked in the daycare field and became a foster mother; she | ||||||
13 | also worked in the Oak Park School District with special needs | ||||||
14 | children; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Mina Riddle was active in the League of Women | ||||||
16 | Voters; she also volunteered with the Oak Park-River Forest | ||||||
17 | Historical Society and tutored English language students; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Mina Riddle is survived by her husband, Bob; 2 | ||||||
19 | children, Diane (Chris) Balducci and Joe Riddle; and 2 | ||||||
20 | grandchildren, Logan and Ryan; therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
3 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Mina I. Riddle; and be | ||||||
4 | it further

5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
6 | presented to the family of Mina Riddle as an expression of our | ||||||
7 | sympathy.
