SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Norma Susan Knox of Monroe, Wisconsin,
4who passed away on September 28, 2014; and
5 WHEREAS, Norma Knox was born on August 20, 1932 in
6Ringwood; her parents were Leo and Mary (nee Schmitt) Hiller;
7she married Robert W. Knox, Sr. on January 27, 1951 at St.
8John's Catholic Church in Johnsburg; and
9 WHEREAS, Norma Knox and her husband farmed in the McHenry,
10Crystal Lake, and Monroe area all of their lives; she also
11worked for Colony Brands in Monroe for 17 years until her
12retirement; and
13 WHEREAS, Norma Knox was a member of Monroe's St. Victor
14Catholic Church (now St. Clare of Assisi Parish); and
15 WHEREAS, Norma Knox was preceded in death by her husband; 2
16sons, Joseph and James; her parents; and a brother, Paul
17Hiller; and
18 WHEREAS, Norma Knox is survived by 8 children, Michael
19Knox, Judy (Kenneth) Stoerp, Janet Weidner, Theodore Knox,
20Timothy (Cheryl) Knox, Mary (Alan) Hafferkamp, Robert W.

2grandchildren, William (Megan), Jordan, Kaytlyn, Lauren,

9sister, Grace (Donald) Bentz; a brother, Lee (Bernadette)
10Hiller; and her special friends, Shirley Knox, Carol Knox,
11Renea Knox, Vern Weidner, and Sara Harvel; therefore, be it
12 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Norma Susan Knox; and
15be it further
16 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Norma Knox as an expression of our
18sympathy.
