2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Elizabeth M. Hoem of Waukegan, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on July 29, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was born on May 23, 1925 in Lake | ||||||
6 | Villa; she was a resident of Waukegan for most of her life; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem worked at A & P for over 30 years | ||||||
8 | until her retirement; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was named Volunteer of the Year at | ||||||
10 | Vista Medical Center, where she had worked as a volunteer for | ||||||
11 | 18 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was an avid traveler; she visited | ||||||
13 | many countries and particularly loved to travel with her | ||||||
14 | beloved family; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem was preceded in death by her | ||||||
16 | parents, Frank and Antoinette Grenus; her husband, John C. | ||||||
17 | Hoem; a daughter, Candy Jo Swosinski; a son-in-law, Gregory | ||||||
18 | Swosinski; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hoem is survived by a daughter, Susan S. |

1 | (Daniel M.) Henry; a grandson, Anthony (Emmy) Henry; a | ||||||
2 | granddaughter, Rachel (Brian) Elliott; 4 grandchildren, | ||||||
3 | Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Annika, and Samuel; and a sister, Bertha | ||||||
4 | Cook; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
7 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Elizabeth M. Hoem; and | ||||||
8 | be it further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Elizabeth Hoem as an expression of | ||||||
