Amends the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985. Provides that a licensed barber is required to wear disposable gloves when shaving any part of a person's face, neck, or hairline. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair
Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985 is amended by adding
Section 2-10 as follows:
(225 ILCS 410/2-10 new)
Sec. 2-10. Business practices. A licensed barber is
required to wear disposable gloves when shaving any part of a
person's face, neck, or hairline. A violation of this Section
shall be grounds for disciplinary action under Section 4-7 of
this Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
