| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the administration and | ||||||
| 4 | faculty of the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy at the College | ||||||
| 5 | of DuPage on the occasion of the Academy's 20th anniversary on | ||||||
| 6 | October 10, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Suburban Law Enforcement Academy is one of 6 | ||||||
| 8 | certified academies in the State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, From 1994 to 2014, the Academy has graduated from | ||||||
| 10 | its basic program 2,878 police officers representing | ||||||
| 11 | approximately 216 police agencies, serving municipalities, | ||||||
| 12 | sheriff's offices, university and college police, railroad | ||||||
| 13 | police, and forest preserve district police departments | ||||||
| 14 | throughout Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Academy's continuing education program began | ||||||
| 16 | in 1999; the program has provided the latest in police training | ||||||
| 17 | methods to 26,210 attendees from 1,880 agencies in Illinois, | ||||||
| 18 | other states, and Canada; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, The Academy has a 99% success rate for graduation | ||||||
| 20 | and is extremely proud of the recruits and its faculty; | ||||||
| 21 | therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 2 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 3 | we congratulate the administration and faculty of the Suburban | ||||||
| 4 | Law Enforcement Academy on the occasion of the Academy's 20th | ||||||
| 5 | anniversary and wish them continued success in their future | ||||||
| 6 | endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 8 | presented to the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy as a symbol | ||||||
| 9 | of our esteem and respect.
