HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to recognize Rich Janiec on his
outstanding service to the Streamwood Park District Board of
Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Rich Janiec was first elected to the Streamwood
Park District Board of Commissioners in 2009; he wanted area
parks to be a showcase to surrounding towns and villages, and
he wanted people to visit Streamwood parks and experience their
uniqueness; and
WHEREAS, While serving on the Board, Rich Janiec was
instrumental in getting the County School House Plaque for the
Hoosier Grove Schoolhouse in 2010, as well as the Hanover
Township Plaque in 2011; in addition, the District has a one of
a kind day lily on site; the lily is a unique cultivar bred
specifically for Streamwood; he hopes that this flower will
eventually flourish throughout the District and village; and
WHEREAS, Rich Janiec is actively involved with the
Streamwood Historical Society and Hanover Township; and
WHEREAS, Rich Janiec is dedicated to serving the people of
Streamwood; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we recognize Rich Janiec on his outstanding service to the
Streamwood Park District Board of Commissioners; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Rich Janiec as an expression of our esteem and
respect.
