147th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SENATE BILL NO. 68

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 17 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SIGNS.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1. Amend §1114 and §1121 of Title 17 of the Delaware Code by adding a new subsection (8) to each section, and by making insertions as shown by underlining and deletions as shown by strikethrough as follows:

(8) A sign posted by a family member or pet owner for thirty days for purposes of seeking information about lost children or family pet. A permit obtained on-line from DelDOTmust be secured within 72 hours of posting sign which is renewable every thirty days upon issuance of permit from DelDOT.


SYNOPSIS

This Bill removes the ban against roadway signs posted by family members and pet owners seeking information about lost children or family pets.
