AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO CONDITIONAL LICENSES.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1.Amend §4177K(c), Title 21 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through andinsertions as shown by underline as follows:

(c) When a driver's license is revoked pursuant to this section, any such individual not in violation of probational requirements regarding substance abuse treatment shall be permitted to apply for a conditional license for the limited purpose of employment, to attend school or job training, to attend treatment appointments, to meet an urgent need, and to meet with their probation officer.For purposes of this subsection, "urgent need" means a need within the applicant's family which is critical to the family's health or welfare, including transportation to or from medical facilities, child care facilities and adult care facilities, and which no other family member is capable of meeting.

Section 2.This Act shall take effect on September 30, 2014.
