AN ACT

 

making appropriations to the department of public safety for enhanced law enforcement purposes.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriations; department of public safety; county distribution; enhanced law enforcement

The sum of $500,000 in fiscal year 2014-2015 and the sum of $500,000 in fiscal year 2015-2016 are appropriated from the state general fund to the department of public safety for distribution to a county in this state with a population of more than 200,000 persons and less than 210,000 persons for the purpose of enhancing law enforcement efforts in the county.  The distributions must be made directly to the county sheriff and do not require further approval by the county board of supervisors.
